Utilizing relevant case examples, presenters will focus on navigating the challenges of unilateral RTC placements to include general processes, legal timelines, best practices in developing assessment plans, and collaborating on joint ERMHS assessments. The session will conclude with a discussion of how to collaborate with school site teams and make an offer of FAPE.

Participant Objectives:
A) Understand the preliminary steps of responding to a unilateral RTC placement.
B) Understand best practices in developing an assessment plan.
C) Understand best practices in ERMHS joint assessments.
D) Understand how to collaborate with school site teams in preparation for IEP.
E) Understand how to navigate Offer of FAPE.
