Katie began her journey in education in 2001. She graduated from University of Nevada, Las Vegas and earned a Bachelors in Elementary Education. She taught elementary education for the first 7 years of her career in Walnut Valley Unified School District. She has experience teaching special education, Alternative Ed, and general education. She has a masters in School Counseling and is also a Board Certified Behavior Analyst. She has been in education for 22 years and is currently a Behavior Specialist in Jurupa Unified School District. She is also a part time Adjunct Professor for California Baptist University. Her area of expertise is in the area of providing ABA strategies and bringing in trauma informed practices to support the most vulnerable students in the classroom.
